To answer your question - I sometimes buy albums from iTunes as it’s cheaper and more convenient then buying physical CDs and then looking for a place where I can rip them. With streaming, you need to keep paying to keep listening and even then there’s no guarantee - a label / artist might decide to pull the music from the streaming platform of your choice and you’ll lose access. You can copy them, you can play them back on any device. On the other hand - when you buy an album in iTunes, you get the files and the files are yours to keep. I remember musicians even complaining about revenues going down when the shift from buying to streaming started.
